Lightweight planters

Our gabion style planters use 90%+ inorganic growing media which is super lightweight and drains freely while retaining adequate moisture for optimum plant growth. Unlike typical ‘lightweight’ planter box mixes that contain a high level of organic materials, decompose over time and inevitably clog subsoil drainage causing headaches for owners and tenants alike.

Irrigation for our gabion style planters is integrated meaning no unsightly black poly tube popping up or drip tube springing out over time. The integrated irrigation and fertigation allows nutrient delivery and watering through wicking action across capillary fabrics.

By using gabion style planters builders are able to reduce the depth and extent of the blockwork, Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) and other cumbersome construction build-ups. By reducing the depth and extent of these structures builders can save money on labour and materials while still providing the client with a green and lush multi-storey development.
